Last week we hosted our girls “meet and greet” breakfast for students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects.
The volunteers who are all specialists within Transport for London (TFL) ranging from Engineers and senior project managers came along and met our students as a way of providing our young people with information about STEM careers and study routes, whilst encouraging and inspiring our young people to shape their own future choice
“We met a range of people that worked within Transport for London. One role being project managers. The people who undertake these roles are especially skilled as they manage groups of people in order to achieve their desired outcome. Talking to these people opened my eyes towards the different roles specifically for women within STEM careers that I may be interested in applying for in the future”
